Even if the paintjob of the all-new 2018 Ford GT hasn`t dried yet, the carmaker has already announced the arrival of the hardcore version, called the GT Competition Series, which will be uncovered in Daytona in a couple of weeks.
This winning the Rolex 24h, Ford found the right opporutnity to announce the GT Competition Series, an exceptional track-focused car with a much more lightweight architecture, improved aerodynamics and advanced handling characteristics.
The new Ford GT Competition Series is also aimed at enthusiastic drivers who want ot feel the rush while cruising the roads at high speeds.
The car`s main highlights at the exterior represent the carbon fiber composites on the front and rear bumper. There are also other elements worth mentioning – lightweight carbon fiber racing stripes, A-Pillars, side mirrors, carbon fiber prop rod, much lighter bulkead Gorilla Glass, race-like Perspex acrylic engine cover hatch with manual latch, integrated air vents and so on.
Other noticeable features refer to a wide choice of colours – Shadow Black, Frozen White, Ingot Silver, Liquid Blue Triple Yellow or Liquid Grey, and can be complemented with the high-performance carbon fiber wheels and the titanium exhaust and lug nuts.
Inside, the interior combines high-end materials with race-inspired features. We are looking here at FIA-certified steel roll cage, active aerodynamic system, Alcantara on the seats, instrument panel and headliner, air conditioning, radio and speakers, plenty of stowage bins and so on.
