The Americans from Ford decided to reveal the new Harley-Davidson F-150 truck a new model which came into being thanks to the collaboration between Harley-Davidson and Ford. While availability details along pricing are not available yet, we have some photos and details about the standard features and engine range.
At the exterior, the 2012 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 comes with two exterior finishes, the White Platinum Tri-Coat and the Tuxedo Black. The American model benefits from 22-inch aluminum wheels fitted with low profile tires, Harley-Davidson badges, smoked front and rear optical blocks but also a huge chrome front grille.
“The 2012 Ford Harley-Davidsonâ„¢ F-150 delivers on the custom cool design the lineup is known for, with new snakeskin leather interior accents and a stylized bodyside graphic. Also new are the wheel design and a premium paint color,” adds Ford.
Under the bonnet, the new American model will be offered with a 6.2-liter V8 unit able to deliver 411 horsepower and 588 Nm of torque, quite enough power for the massive model. Entering the cabin you will enjoy high quality materials such as leather seats, special badging, scuff plates and brushed aluminum trim. Other features include rear view camera, ambient lighting, a 4.2-inch LCD screen, Navigation System with voice function and power moonroof.
Even the model comes with an attractive exterior design along premium interior features inside, it is still a truck and offers a trailer towing capability of around 3,400 kilograms (7,500 pounds).
This is not the first time when the two companies are collaborating on new Ford models, the American manufacturer being in tight partnership with Harley-Davidson since 1999, selling more than 70,000 units.
“The successful collaboration between Ford and Harley-Davidson has produced 10 F-150 models, as well as six Super Duty F-250 and F-350 models, and in 2009 the first Harley-Davidson F-450 edition truck. Ford has sold more than 70,000 Ford Harley-Davidson F-Series trucks since the brands teamed up in 1999.”
