View

A lot of important car manufacturers are busy testing out their all-new rides which will be officially unveiled next year. Mercedes-Benz is joining the club with the latest test mule to be seen in spy photos while performing new tests wearing camouflage.

We are looking here at the all-new 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe, which will join the rest of the model lineup with similar design cues as the C-Class Coupe or S-Class Coupe.

Even if all models will share similar looks, the all-new E-Class Coupe will stand on the MRA rear-wheel drive modular platform, the same one underpinning the current E-Class Sedan and Estate, meaning increase cargo capacity for luggage and more room for rear passengers.

The car`s main highlight refer to the front which will feature new headlights, while the rear will be also slightly revised, coming with a more rounded styling than the S-Class Sedan and bulkier than the C-Class. The stardust lights remain the same as the sedan or estate.

Inside, as aforementioned, the cabin will be much wider, allowing more cargo capacity and leg room for the rear passengers. Otherwise, the model will get the same high-end materials and the latest technology found on the S-Class Sedan or C-Class.

Under the hood, the all-new 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe will come with new modular inline four- and six-cylinder engines, both in petrol burners and diesels. One of the most important would be the six-cylinder biturbo engine found in the E 43 Coupe with 401 horsepower, or the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo in the E 63. More details will be known next year at the Geneva Motor Show, where the model is expected for an official debut.
