Google Search Finds 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Closer to Reality

In case you didn’t know, Ford and Shelby have been planning the return of the Mustang GT500 sooner than expected, with the rumor mill stating an official debut at the 2017 NAIAS, in Detroit.

However, if you google for “2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, you might end-up on the carmaker`s official website which is called “2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 – The Cobra of Performance Cars”, which indicates that the model is nearer than expected.

However, the link to the site is under construction and it automatically redirects you to the webpage of the officially unveiled Ford Mustang. Even so, we are looking forward to seeing the new model in action.

According to Automobile Magazine, the google search for the Shelby GT500 indicates that the model will come with a lot of “selectable drive modes”, including the muscle car`s impressive powertrain. If you also search the GT500 Convertible, you will also get similar results with the car`s future characteristics.

We might be looking here at a massive 5.8-liter V8 engine, coming with an important upgrade over the previous GT500 version, meaning two brand-new turbochargers.

Once arriving on the market, the all-new 2017 Ford Shelby GT500 will churn out a massive 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque. Even so, we are expecting a much higher power, especially with the arrival of its rivals with lots of power as well. The same reports from Automobile Magazine state around 707 horsepower.
