Commercial vehicles dedicated Auto Show, in Hanover, hosted the unveiling event of a zero-emission utility vehicle, the Renault Kangoo Express ZE, a model that offers an autonomy of 160 kilometers. The electric engine of the utility vehicle developed by the French manufacturer, Renault, is able to deliver 44 kW (60 horsepower) and is able to develop a top speed of 130 km/h while the autonomy, as told above, is 160 km.
The lithium-ion batteries that equips the zero-emission Renault Kangoo Express got a capacity of 22 kWh, are placed well in order to keep the load capacity as the conventional model and needs 6 hours to completely charge the batteries. The lithium-ion batteries can be charged at a conventional outlet of 220V at an estimated time told above.
Renault announced that the electric brother of the Kangoo Express will be produced at the French plant in Maubeuge and it will be available in Europe at a price of about 20.000 euro.
