Honda revealed the 2012 Accord which receives several improvements in terms of styling and fuel efficiency but keeps the pricing unchanged. At the exterior, the 2012 model year Accent comes with new two-bar grille with chrome details and windswept headlights but also few minor improvements at the interior.
The Japanese manufacturer added a USB audio interface as standard to all the versions of the model including LX, LX-P and SE models. They also introduced a new trim level of the 2012 Accord, called Special Edition.
In terms of safety, the Japanese company says that the model provides increased protection, the crash tests being a certain proof. “The 2012 Honda Accord Sedan earns the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA’s) best-possible Overall Vehicle Score of 5 stars. Helping the sedan achieve its top overall score were 5-star ratings in each of the three combined categories of overall frontal crash safety, overall side crash safety and rollover resistance,” adds the company.
The 2012 Honda Accord LX is priced at $22,150 including the destination fee while the LX-S coupe costs $23,750. Around 95% of the models sold in the United States are produced at the Marysville plant in Ohio.
