Based on the concept with the same name, the Honda Micro Commuter is a tiny zero-emission vehicle which could be considered a rival to the more popular Renault Twizy.
With a length of just 2,5 meters and a width of 1,25 meters, the new Japanese model is powered by an electric motor and a 15kW lithium-ion battery.
The Micro Commuter can achieve a top speed of 80 km/h while the driving range is rated at 59 km. According to Honda, the new model fits in the micro vehicle category which will be implemented in Japan very soon.
The new Honda Micro Commuter has enough space for a driver and two kids in the back. Marketed as a short distance electric vehicle, the model is certainly designed for Japan as this is the trend that the big metropolis is going to be following.
The Japanese car maker will release more information along with availability and pricing information next year.
