It seems that our previous assumptions regarding the Hyundai Genesis Coupe Hurricane SC were correct as the South Korean manufacturer unveiled the model in question today, at the 2011 SEMA Motor Show.
As we previously mentioned, the new Genesis Coupe Hurricane SC is built by Hyundai America Technical Center in partnership with Harman International, Rhys Millen Racing, Torvec Inc. and Magnuson Products. The South Korean model packs a reworked 3.8-liter V6 engine along new high-performance components such as a new sport exhaust system and a supercharger, all these for a total output of 450 horsepower.
The model also benefits from an IsoTorque differential from Torvec Inc., a crucial part able to improve the traction and handling. Other features include a new set of 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with 245/40 (front) and 275/35 (rear) Hankook tires, a Bilstein suspension and a high-performance Brembo braking system.
The exterior appearance is improved by Rhys Millen Racing which fitted the model with new front and rear bumpers, a new grille and hood, side skirts and a rear deck spoiler. The interior gets also some tweaks such as new trims and the Katzkin leather upholstery.
