A bunch of official photos are now available thanks to the kindness of the South Korean people from Hyundai who decided to reveal the future i40, the model assigned to replace the current Sonata. In the photos below we can see the new Hyundai i40 CW but of course the sedan version can’t look too different comparing to the estate one.
Under the hood the new i40 range will benefit from two 1.7-liter diesel units developing 115 horsepower and 136 horsepower while on the other side you can opt for the 1.6-liter 135-horsepower or the top of the range 2.0-liter 177-horsepower petrol unit.
Hyundai announced that the units above can be ordered together either with an automatic or manual six-speed gearbox while in terms of fuel consumption the petrol 1.6-liter unit offers a fuel consumption of just 4.3 liters/100 km.
The exterior design of the new i40 CW shows us a very good looking model even this is a family version that should be focused more on the passangers and trunk space.
