After teasing the model few days ago, the South Koreans from Hyundai unveiled the new i40 sedan today at the Barcelona Auto Show. The rivals of the new Hyundai i40 really have to be aware as the South Korean manufacturer has big plans with the new sedan in range.
In terms of aesthetics, the new i40 sedan benefits from the “fluidic sculpture” design language characterized by flowing lines and dynamic shapes. From the photo gallery we can see that the model benefits from all the components needed for a premium sedan such as a sleek shape, massive optical blocks with LED lights, a dual-pipe exhaust system, stylish alloy wheels and a glass sunroof.
Inside, you get leather upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel, a rear-view camera and smart-parking system alongside Bluetooth and USB connection.
Power will be provided by a 1.7-liter diesel unit offered in two versions, the first one developing 113 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque while a 134-horsepower variant is on the list too. On the other hand, Hyundai offers a 2.0-liter Theta II petrol engine able to deliver 175 horses and 213 Nm of torque.
