United Kingdom’s small car segment gets a new model, this time coming from Hyundai, the new i20 Blue to be more precise. The South Korean manufacturer decided to bring the fuel efficient version of i20 to the UK, joining the earlier introduced i10 Blue, a model which adopts the same fuel efficient position.
Of course, the new Hyundai i20 Blue is powered by a diesel unit, the 1.4-=liter CRDi turbo engine able to offer 90 horsepower. Thanks to the small engine along with low rolling resistance tires, rear wheel deflectors and Intelligent Stop & Go system, the South Korean model returns a fuel economy improved by 14% over the standard model.
This means a consumption of 76,4mpg UK (3,7 liters/100 km) and 98 g/km of CO2 emissions. It is clear that the new Hyundai i20 Blue is a good alternative for the people aiming to spend less on fuel, the small four-door model also offering plenty of standard features.
From them we can enumerate the electric heated side mirrors, electric front and rear windows, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and 15-inch alloy wheels at the exterior.
The i20 Blue starts at a price of £13,195 OTR in the UK. “On-sale now, and like all Hyundai passenger cars, the Hyundai i20 Blue comes with a Five Year Triple Care package, which includes a five-year and unlimited mileage”, adds the company.
