Sure there are problems with economy in most part of the worlds and yes the price of oil these days seems to be aimed at supercar buyers only but it doesn’t matter.
Luxury brands are still selling big and those that are falling behind in the race are actually thinking about stepping up.
On such brand is Nissan’s posh relative, the Infiniti brand, which at the moment is seriously weighing in on making a supercar.
Don’t think this is the sort of decision that has a lot to do with how much Infiniti wants to stand out of the crowd or anything like that.
A new supercar would make for a great flagship on which the company’s sales would really be helped along. That’s a sensible decision.
It’s also the sort of decision that is wrong when it comes to justifying the creation of a new supercar. It almost always goes wrong in one way or another.
In the case of Lexus it did so because of the pricing went a little wrong. In the case of the Infiniti supercar it could end up being weird for a similar reason.
It would also be weird, because there have been some rumors about it being a hybrid. Secondly, there have been plenty of rumors of it being based on the Nissan GT-R.
More recently however, the Infiniti have dismissed this bit of news as well but they are telling us they’re sure that they want to make the supercar a reality.
