Jaguar is riding the wave, somewhat. Having put a lot of life into what used to be the most lackluster brand of the luxury segment, they’re looking at something that’s one notch above.
That top end amazement was to come from something called the Jaguar C-X75. As one of the more interesting concepts of our time, it is actually headed for production.
Or rather, it was. Due to a very, very complicated propulsion system, it is very hard to find a supplier which can manufacture the turbine engines they need.
It seems that the process is so complicated and requires working with such advanced and difficult materials that regular sources are moving away from it.
Those pesky turbines provide a lot of character to the car, but they’re very likely going to be the ones that kill it off.
Maybe this isn’t some sort of publicity stunt lots of us are thinking about right now but I would prefer it to be delayed some 20 years, as long as it works properly when it’s introduced.
I really do hope they get everything sorted out and going about since apart from it horrible still keeps dynamic s tweaks.
The figures we have on the table certainly suggest this. Jaguar’s C-75 project is said to weigh in so little it doesn’t matter.
That’s when the 0.62 time will likely be more problematic than any other car, generate enough tower to generate needed stability at above 200 mph.
