The British people from Jaguar thought that there would be a right decision to extend the current engine range of the XF sedan with a new diesel unit. We talk about a 2.2-liter diesel engine offering 161 horsepower for an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9,8 seconds.
With the introduction of the new unit, the already existent 2.2-liter diesel which produces 187 horsepower becomes the most powerful diesel available. According to Jaguar, the fuel economy figures of the new diesel engine are similar to the other unit with 5,4 liters/100 km and 149 g/km of CO2.
However, the powerful engine is able to deliver an acceleration time of 8,5 seconds. Along with the specifications, Jaguar published the pricing of the new Jaguar XF fitted with the 2.2-liter diesel unit.
In the UK, the OTR price starts at £29,950. Even if the British model will be delivered to the customers in the coming months, Jaguar already takes orders for the new entry-level model. More details about the new base Jaguar XF model to be released soon.
