The Brits over at Jaguar are, as ever, not exactly full of money right now so they can’t come up with a new car. They’ll be sticking to their guns with older designs, albeit the slightly refreshed ones.

Their latest announcement talks about a couple of special editions of the Jaguar XK and the XKR. Each of the charming grand tourers will receive a few touches to make them stand out.

The big cat company isn’t restrictive on the sort of body shape you go for either, Coupe or Convertible is just fine with them.

So what’s so special about the Artisan editions of the Jaguar XK and XKR? Well, to begin with, Americans can’t have them. They will be available in plenty of markets but the USA isn’t one of them.

That is always a good start. Beyond that, the changes that make this edition special are quite stylish but minimal. Outside, the Artisan edition is finished up in a special Celestial Black shade and gets new 20 inch alloy wheels.

Inside the Artisan edition Jags you’ll find a new textured ‘scraffito’ leather finish applied to the front seats, instrument binnacle, doors and even the rear quarter panels.

The rest of the interior is finished in Poltrona Frau leather, Shadow Walnut and Dark Figured Aluminium veneer. It’s all great and then we get to the equipment which just pumps up the volume.
