In case you live in the United States and want to add the top of the line BRZ GT from Subaru to your own private lineup, then we have got some pretty bad news, as the Japanese carmaker will release the new addition on home country alone.
However, the 2017 BRZ GT version in Japan will arrive in the US as the optional “Performance Package” worth of $1,195 and coming with a manual transmission for the Limited version.
In Japan, the 2017 Subaru BR GT will come with a six-speed manual transmission and will have a starting price of 3,315,600 Yen, the equivalent of $31,900, while the six-speed automatic will set you back at 3,375,000, which is $32,500.
The model was first announced in July, with the carmaker also offering a special edition “GT Yellow”, coming with rather the same specifications, except for the yellow exterior colour and new trims inside. Only 100 units were offered.
In the United States, the “Performance Package” for the standard Subaru BRZ comes with plenty of mechanics, such as Sachs dampers which make the model extremely stable and providing increase stance. Other features also refer to wider front and rear brakes with Brembo calipers, as well as the 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels.
Other features are common to the GT in Japan, like Alcantara and leather seats. The carmaker will also announce the full price of the model with the Performance Package in the United States.
