In the Japanese culture, specifically cartoons and TV series, big robots, or meccha, are quite the common sight.
In fact, their obsession with giant robots is so big, rumors have risen they are actually building a combat ready mega robot.
But that is not what we want to talk about. We want to speak about a couple of tune projects that draw heavily from the mecchas. Both have a Nissan model, somewhere underneath all that visual cues, one being a Leaf and one being an e-NV200. The reason behind the builds is simple enough.
They will star in a brand new TV show called “Ultraman Giga S”, which will feature a power ranger like hero and these two cars. The downside of the build is that I would not be threatened too much if I were to see these two cars chasing me, even taking into consideration the possibility of them shooting lasers at me. Let’s hope CGI will make them more menacing.
