Jeep Renegade Heads to Australia, Powertrains Explained

Jeep has recently sent the Renegade on the hot continent Australia, the model coming available with four versions, the Sport, Longitude, Limited and the top of the line Trailhawk. Each one comes with its own power configuration.

The Jeep Renegade Sport is available at $29,500 and is packing a 1.6-liter Etorq engine, with 81 kW and 152 Nm of torque, as well as a five-speed manual transmission which sends the power to the front wheels.

The same Sport version is also available with a 1.4 MultiAir Turbo unit, with 103 kW and 230 Nm of torque, which sends the power to the same front wheels, via a six-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox.

Next, the Jeep Renegade Longitude can be had at $34,500 and comes with the same 1.4-liter MultiAir engine and dual-clutch auto transmission. The Limited version is also packed with the 1.4-liter, but costs more, $38,500, thanks to the additional features inside, like the 6.5-inch Uconnect touch-screen oth the 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.

Finally, the top of the line Jeep Renegade Trailhawk delivers 129 kW and 230 Nm of torque, from a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine, hooked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. It costs $41,500 and adds up a lot of interesting features inside.
