Jeep announced the other day that it would introduce a special edition of the Wrangler, the all-new Rubicon Recon edition, set to arrive later this month from $39,145 for the two-door and $42,945 for the Unlimited four-door variant.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon is the perfect off-roader set for the adventurers that like the adrenaline rush. It is based on the standard Wrangler Rubicon and adds some interesting styling parts, new interior features and updated mechanics.
Speaking about the car`s off road capabilities, Mike Manley, CEO at Jeep, has also declared:

With unmatched capability and a unique appearance, Rubicon Recon is the perfect Wrangler for our most loyal, diehard off-road enthusiasts who love to tackle the most demanding trails.”
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon Edition is equipped with a revised front axle with strengthened tubes, heavy-duty end forgins and heavy-duty cast front and rear differential covers, updated off-road rock rails to make room for 35-inch tires.
The new model has been also fitted with a half-inch lift, dual-vented Power Dome hood with “Rubicon” decals, as well as brand-new 17-inch Gloss Granite alloys with 32-inch BG Goodrich off-road rubbers.
Inside, the cabin comes with lots of gadgetries, like the new gauge cluster with lots of information concerning transmission, coolant temperatures, oil pressure or digital speed and individual tire pressure. Other features also include black leather on the seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, eight-speaker audio system and much more.
Mechanically, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon Edition also features part-time all-wheel drive system with electronically-locking front and rear Dana 44 axles, front and rear axle ratio of 4.10, as well as the Rock-Trac transfer case with “4-Low”ratio of 4:1.
