Kia released full details about their GT Line grade for the cee’d model. We talk about the coupe, hatchback and wagon variants of the South Korean model. At the exterior, the GT Line models bring LED daytime running lights, revised bumpers, 17-inch alloy wheels, new side sills and a revised exhaust system.
In the rear you will also find LED taillights while interior features include a bunch of GT Line badges, a new steering wheel, black & white leather upholstery, aluminum pedals and USB connectivity.
Besides the styling improvements, the GT Line grade also brings a new 1.0-liter turbo engine producing 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. A tweaked 1.6-liter diesel producing 133 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque is also available.
Of course, the rest of the Kia cee’d engine range is available too, but these two particular engines are very interesting because they were improved in a way or another. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is available with the 1.6-liter diesel engine and promises to bring improved fuel consumption numbers as well as quicker gear changes.
It is quite refreshing to see a new trim level that brings more than few aesthetic tweaks. Usually, these kind of packages are quite simple but this time, Kia tried to impress us with a more comprehensive offer.
