Kia has made the first major steps in the D-segment tourer by preparing the all-new Optima Sportswagon for a world debut at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The station wagon of the present Optima is no one than the SPORTSPACE concept revealed last year, the model entering the segment in an effort to provide its customers with the perfect solutions for a reliable family car, with a powerful engine lineup, enough space inside and the latest technology available on the market today.
Speaking about performance, the Kia Optima Sportswagon offers wide array of engines all Euro 6-compliant, consisting of petrol burners and diesels. We might refer to the 2.0-liter CVVL petrol in the base version, why the GT variant comes packed with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol.
All versions received a front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, but you can also choose the new seven-speed double-clutch transmission.
In terms of cargo capacity, the Kia Optima Sportswagon comes with impressive 553 liters, expandable as expected, providing 40:20:40 split-fold rear seats.
The cabin boasts with the latest AVN system (audio visual navigation) with the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a 360-degree Around View Monitor, Smart Parking Assist System, the optional 590-watt Harman Kardon Premium Sound system and much more.
