Kia officially unveiled the new Sportage Axis Edition, a model offered in the UK starting today at a price of £20,995. With only 1,200 units to be built, the Korean model comes with a series of exterior and interior tweaks. On the outside, you will find LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, black gloss mesh grille and roof rails.
Power is offered by a standard 1.6-liter GDI petrol engine with 133 horsepower and 165 Nm of torque. A more frugal 1.7-liter diesel with 114 hp and 260 Nm of torque is also available.
There are no fuel economy figures released but the Intelligent Stop & Go system is offered on these engines for improved consumption.
At the interior, the Kia Sportage Axis Edition has black headlining, Dinamica microfiber inserts, grey accents, black leather and revised door panels. Privacy glass is also available as well as black pillars and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
“The Sportage ‘Axis Edition’ models sit between trim grades ‘2’ and ‘3’ in the range, but include many of the features found even higher in the line-up,” adds the company.
