Lada XCODE Concept Breaks Cover, Would Make Way for One-Off SUV

View

Even if the Russian Lada was an icon of the communist block back in the 1980s, the new models developed by Renault-Nissan Alliance, have nothing in common with the nostalgic ones. And one of the latest concepts to make way for a production-series SUV is no other than the XCODE concept, recently unveiled at the 2016 Moscow Motor Show.

As we can depict from the pictures below, the concept is looking extremely futuristic, highlighting a two-tone color, with an extremely bright yellow and silver accents on the roof and lower skirting, while the windows with the black trimmings make it a real standout.

Developed by Briton Steve Mattin, formed designer at Mercedes-Benz, the Lada EXCODE features a lot of outstanding body characteristics, like the X logos and embossing on the doors, while the front grille with the massive fog lights clusters form an X-like shape for a more aggressive look.

Inside, the cabin is set to come with the latest high-tech gadgets and high-quality materials that would provide a sportier yet a classy feel. We should mention here the 10-inch touchscreen multimedia system, digital instrument cluster, Lada Connect with a plethora of applications like remote heating, data fuel level and so on.

Riding on the “BO” platform also underpinning the Nissan Juke or Dacia Sandero, the Lada EXCODE`s future production SUV might come with a wide array of engines with turbo configurations and AWD configuration. For the moment, the complete details list is rather scarce, but we should expect fresh details in the upcoming period.
