Motor Trend has recently issued a report according to which Lamborghini would launch a soft-top folding roof of the present Lamborghini Gallardo, called the Huracan Roadster.
Lamborghini Huracan Roadster is set to be released next year, at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the model being the rightful successor of the Gallardo roadster and being a little heavier than the old one. This is because the chassis has to support the removed roof, which will lead to a slight decrease in the car`s performance.
The roof of the new Huracan Roadster is also set to come with a fabric folding mechanism, just like the old Gallardo Spyder, which would compensate the usage of other reinforced materials on the platform.
In the engine department, there are no fresh news, but we might find a similar powertrain as the present stock Huracan, meaning the fitting of the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, with an upgraded 602 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. This would be enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, at a topping of 325 km/h. The power is being sent to all wheels, via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. No prices were yet set for the model.
