The Japanese folks at Lexus officially announced that the RC 200t model gets a new 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine in Europe. The 2.0-liter engine benefits from direct injection and is linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox for a total of 245 horses and 350 Nm of torque.
With these resources, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in just 7,5 seconds with a top speed of 230 km/h. The new unit is also lightweight at 160 kilograms so it won’t impact performance too much.
New features such as a revised suspension and a Torsen limited-slip differential are also available on the higher-spec F SPORT version.
Exterior features include a revised front grille, new 17- to 19-inch alloy wheels and higher quality materials inside. We talk about metal inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and aluminum pedals.
According to Lexus, the new 2.0-lite engine that debuted on the RC 200t was seen previously on the NX 200t model and offers a combined fuel economy of 7,5 liters/100 km or 31,3 mpg US. In terms of CO2 emissions, Lexus says that it emits 166 g/km.
