The LF-FC Concept was introduced back at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and is set to lead the way for an all-new production model in the shape of a luxury sedan, by 2020.
The Japanese carmaker will release the model by the end of the decade, the high-end luxury sedan boasting with an evolutionary design and the latest technology in terms of driving dynamics.
From a visual standpoint, the Lexus LF-FC luxury sedan will receive triple LED headlamp clusters, the company`s massive grille, new lamps at the rear, sweeping roofline, smaller glasshouse as well as the 21-inch alloy wheels.
Moving inside, the cabin will boast with the latest technology, like the state-of-the-art control system with hand gestures and movement sensors for an easy access to the car`s systems and functions.
Another innovation that the LC-FC will bring fresh, is the Automated Driving Technology being fitted with the latest safety systems, such as lane keeping and changing, merging, speed adjustments as well as overtaking, all meant to ensure a safer driving on different road conditions.
Under the hood, the Lexus LC-FC luxury sedan will make use of a fuel-cell powertrain, with the electricity being sent to the front-wheel motors, while another electric motor would send additional power to the front axle.
Once it will emerge on the market by 2020, the all-new Lexus LC-FC sedan will take on the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7-Series.
