The British folks at Lotus announced their intentions to introduce the Exige S Automatic. The new model gains a six-speed automatic transmission for extra £2,000.
Usually, sports car use manual gearboxes but if you are interested in an automatic variant, you can get it starting January.

According to the company, the new transmission comes with a Sport and Race mode. Thanks to this feature, the Lotus Exige S Automatic changes gears smarter while improving the performance as well.

“Offering the involvement of a manual paddle-shift with all the convenience of an automatic, the Exige S Automatic comes with a 6-speed transmission that has been specifically tailored to the sporty characteristics of the Exige,” says the company.

The automatic model is also 0,1 seconds faster in the 0-100 km/h sprint. It manages to complete the task in just 3,9 seconds while lapping the Hethel test track equally fast compared to the manual one.
