The new Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio Sport models debuted at this year’s edition of the Geneva Motor Show. Under the bonnet of the Italian model we find a powerful 4.7-liter V8 able to deliver 453 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, a slightly improvements over the previous model.
When coupled to a semi-automatic transmission, the 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in 4,7 seconds while the top speed is rated at 300 km/h.
On the other hand, the ZF six-speed automatic transmission adds 0,1 seconds to the 0-100 km/h acceleration while the top speed is 298 km/h.
This gearbox uses the MC Auto Shift technology also found in previous models bearing Maserati’s badge. In terms of appearance, the new Italian models benefit from new front and rear bumpers with air intakes, LED headlights, new grille and 20-inch Astro Design alloy wheels.
Inside, the Italians improved the legroom, modified the seats and redesigned the steering wheel. A new Brembo braking system with cast iron slotted and perforated discs ensure the safety at high speeds. Pricing and availability details to be released in the near future.
