The Italian luxury car manufacturer released the first photos of the GranTurismo Sport, a model which replaces the GranTurismo S version and is set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6th. The new Maserati GranTurismo Sport benefits from a 4.7-liter V8 engine able to produce 460 horsepower, enough resources for the 0-100 km/h acceleration in less than 5 seconds.
In terms of styling, the exterior appearance is improved through a new bumper, revised headlights with DRL LED technology, new rear optical blocks and wheels.
The V8 unit will be offered with a choice of two transmissions, a six-speed automatic but also a six-speed sequential manual gearbox which adds steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
The interior is also subject to several improvements such as new upholstery, a new steering wheel and more. The new Italian model has a difficult task to replace the company’s best-selling vehicle, namely the GranTurismo S.
In terms of pricing, the new GranTurismo Sport is expected to start from around £90,000 in the UK but there are no official details in this regard. All the performance figures, availability and pricing information will be released at the upcoming Geneva Motor show.
