The Japanese people from Mazda unveiled the MX-5 GT4, a racing variant of the well-known MX-5 model. Under the bonnet we find a powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine developing 320 horsepower.
Coupled to a six-speed sequential gearbox, the MX-5 GT4 promises impressive track performance. At the interior we find a roll cage for improved safety but there are also new carbon fiber diffuser, wing and rear splitter.
According to Mazda, thanks to the lightweight materials, the model has a curb weight of only 1,000 kg which, without any doubt, improves the performance.
The 0-100 km/h sprint is now possible in just 3 seconds while the top speed is rated at 257 km/h.
“We are still developing the car, but we are now at the point where we can offer this car to customers safe in the knowledge that it is going to be a front runner in any GT4 field,” says the company. Pricing starts at £125,000.
