The lovely Mazda2 is ending up in our news again wearing a wagon body style, thanks to the renderings signed by the famous designer Theophilus Chin.
It was absolutely inevitable for the Japanese based car not to be rendered in a wagon body style, that would complete the entire flat, after the unveiling of the model at the beginning of the year and the official launch of the Mazda2 Sedan a few days back.
As seen in the renderings, the Mazda2 Wagon is looking even greater than the present model, coming with some design cues borrowed from the Mazda6 model, with a round shape and an attractive look. But perhaps the chances of seeing the wagon version in the near future are almost zero.
The Mazda2 Sedan was recently launched on the market and will be sold next year first in Thailand, Australia and later on in Europe.
Like the rest of the Mazda models, this one will be also fitted with a SKYACTIV-D unit, meaning that it will sport 105 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque for the 1.5-liter powertrain under the hood. More details will be announced next year.
