McLaren is one of the major players in the supercar auto industry, building the most exclusive models that money can buy. Amongst its top models, the British based carmaker has officially launched its latest edition, which is the McLaren P1 GTR, showcased at the McLaren Newport Beach, in the United States.
The McLaren P1 GTR is the hot version of the P1 model, the hypercar being a track-only version and coming with an aggressive body kit, which includes a modified front splitter, a racing suspension, flared front wheel arches, wide fixed rear wing, carbon fiber panels, Inconel exhaust pipes, polycarbonate side windows, all complemented by the 19-inch motorsports center-locking alloy wheels, fitted with Pirelli slick tires.
The McLaren P1 GTR has been also modified, being 50 lower and 80 mm wider as opposed to the P1 stock version.
Under the hood, the McLaren P1 GTR is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 unit, the same found on the regular P1, the hypercar developing 800 horsepower. Backed by an electric motor, the overall power stands at impressive 1,000 horsepower. No pricing details have been yet released.
