It seems that the British people from McLaren are encountering some production issues of the MP4-12C supercar. According to the company, we talk about minor problems which will not affect the performance or safety but they still have to take care of the issues. One problem of the British supercar could be the electrical head unit which appears to not be shutting off which could lead to battery draining.
Tony Joseph, director of McLaren North America announced: “There are no safety concerns for the delay. We’ve had some quality-related issues in a few cars we wanted to address before we continue to deliver customer cars.”
There could be some problems with the condensation in the headlamps but also with the door operation. However, the company says that not all the units sold so far are experiencing these issues. All the customers which received their model will be told to visit a local dealership for verifications.
The McLaren MP4-12C has a starting price of $231,400 and benefits from a 3.8-liter V8 offering 592 horsepower at 7,000 rpm. This allows the British supercar to do the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3,3 seconds.
