It’s not like BMW has all the fans with design capabilities good enough to make a Z5. The Bavarian’s rivals are sitting on quite the fan base.
Perhaps the most notable one of them all will be Mercedes. Mercedes has quite the reputation for luxury cruising and sometimes for important image statements.
The design study we have at our disposal fits the latter situation more than adequately.
It’s called the Mercedes-Benz Blackbird Design Study and it has been “given life” by a chap called Peter Vardai.
I know nothing of Peter Vardai and I’m sure that most of you don’t either but looking at the Blackbird Design Study you can almost certainly see his age group. He definitely wasn’t inspired by the SR-71 spy plane was he now?
Inspiration for the Mercedes Blackbrid Design Study had to have come from a movie. To be specific, Tron: Legacy.
This isn’t the sort of thing you can argue with can you?
Sadly, underneath the image proposal given to us by Vardai, we’ve got nothing. No word on the inner workings of such a car or on the business case that would exist for it. Surely it must be made for comfortable cruising at 15 million mph using a hyper-thrust-motor, or something like that.
