View

From where I stand, the 2016 Paris Motor Show, is perhaps the most anticipated auto event of the year, with a lot of carmakers preparing their latest concepts with the best technology available on the market today.

And one segment that will outrun the SUV one, is no other than the electric-vehicle segment, with top carmakers to display their new concepts which will underpin future production models.

One of the important auto manufacturers that is preparing to conquer the EV market is no other than Mercedes-Benz, which has already previewed its EV concept just hours before the Paris debut.

The teaser below with the all-new EV model is called “Ready to change” and it highlights the car`s most advanced features in terms of design and high-tech gizmos.

Amongst the electric-vehicle`s most outstanding highlights would be the new horizontal LEDs along with the headlights that are now part of a single element.

These would be just a couple of interesting features of the car`s exterior, while the interior is set to be one of the most futuristic ever seen on a Mercedes model. We are dealing here with a plethora of cameras fitted in the wing mirrors or around the car, adding touchscreens and displays with tens of functionalities.

There are little details known about the EV concept, but what we do know is that it will spawn about four new electric models by 2020, followed by two sedans and a downsized SUV.

Once it will arrive on the market, the new electric vehicles will battle top predators from BMW, Audi, Volvo or Jaguar, each one also planning the introduction of extremely potent and high-tech electric vehicles. The 2016 Paris Motor Show is coming, stay tuned for fresh news!
