A Cabrio version of the S-Class has been long-rumored, but just a few moments ago Mercedes-Benz announced the unveiling of the model, following a leaked report. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio will be first offered in Germany starting this December, with the first units to go on the market, next spring.

Engine: The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio in the base S500 version will feature a 4.7-liter V8 unit, with 455 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, while the S63 AMG or the S63 AMG 4MATIC Cabrio will come with a 5.5-liter twin-turbo each, developing 585 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, at a topping of an electronically limited 250 km/h.

Interior: The cabin of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio will come with a choice of two packages: the Warmth Comfort, with heated armrests, seats or steering wheel, as well as the AIR-BALANCE package, with high-end materials and other functions.

Exterior: The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio is considered to be the “most beautiful and exclusive S-Class cars of all time”, coming with a retractable three-layer acoustic soft-roof, with a choice of four colors, black, dark blue, dark red as well as beige. Additionally, the rood only needs 20 seconds at a topping of 60 km/h to retract.
