Mercedes is clearly looking to offer high-performance alternatives in any segment, either we are talking about hot hatches, fast sedans or massive SUVs. The Mercedes GLE 450 AMG Coupe is a high-performance model that comes as an alternative to its bigger brother, the GLE 63 Coupe.
Under the hood sits a powerful 3.0-liter V6 unit producing 367 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. The engine uses twin-turbo technology in order to offer all this power while a nine-speed automatic transmission sends it to the wheels.
There’s also an all-wheel drive system that makes sure the power put to the wheels is used as good as possible. We don’t know any acceleration or top speed figures but we are pretty sure they are worth the AMG badge.
In terms of styling, Mercedes climbed the new GLE 450 AMG Coupe on large 21-inch alloy wheels. The exterior is a quite bulky one with aggressive lines and large optical blocks. Interior features include stainless steel pedals, carbon fiber trim, Nappa leather for the steering wheel and piano black accents.
The AIRMATIC air suspension is offered as well and should provide a better driving experience. Expect more details including pricing and availability to be released soon.
