Mercedes released details and photos on a new version of the current Citan small van, the extra-long wheelbase to be more precise.
Thanks to the extra length (4,705 mm in total), the German model is able to transport up to seven people and provide a luggage space of 300 – 400 liters. Fold the second row of seats and you will get a total of 3500 liters.

Under the hood sits a 1.5-liter unit producing 90 horses and 200 Nm of torque. A more potent version of the same unit, developing 110 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, is on the list as well.

“The new model variant aimed at the alternate transport of people and material in commercial use, for use as a taxi and on the mixed-use for professional and private purposes,” says Mercedes.

For now, the new Mercedes Citan extra-long wheelbase is available in Germany and starts from €19,400. This price does not include VAT, therefore, the base model will exceed the €20K mark.
