Mercedes unveiled the new CLA 45 AMG Racing Series with first information and photos. The racing model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, a quite important detail even though we don’t know the total output yet.
At the exterior, we can see the new front apron, side sills, a rear wing and new wheel arches.
Most of the parts are made of lightweight carbon fiber in order to keep the total mass low.
The suspension is a revised one with adjustable dampers while the AMG brakes with ventilated discs are also offered. Inside, there is a steel roll cage, Recaro bucket seats, a racing steering wheel with shift paddles and other racing features.
If you don’t like the model’s standard front-wheel system, you can get an all-wheel drive version as well. Pricing and availability details for the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Racing Series will be released soon.
