Described as a “monumental off-roader with shining stainless steel and chrome”, the German SUV receives two special editions able to improve a bit the appearance. Mercedes recently announced that a new “Edition Select” and “BA3 Final Edition” packages will be available for the current G-Class, each one bringing some fresh aerodynamic components.
To start off, let’s talk about the new “Edition Select” which offers 18-inch alloy wheels with black finish, a two-color exterior and also an AMG sports exhaust system. Inside, the Germans kept the same colors with a new leather upholstery and some black wood components. Another important detail is that this trim package is designed for the long-wheelbase version and it’s priced at €6,735 including VAT.
Moving on, the second proposal is the “BA3 Final Edition” which is available for the short-wheelbase version and features similar 18-inch alloy wheels, a new exterior finish but also a more stylish AMG front grille. The interior also suffered from some modifications such as walnut trim and new leather seats.
In terms of power, these special editions are available with a six-cylinder diesel developing 208 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque while a more potent engine is the 5.5-liter one offering 382 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque.
