Mercedes launches a 125-day journey around the world

Here is another initiative started by the Germans from Mercedes in order to celebrate 125 years since Carl Benz invented the first automobile. Recently we talked about the Mercedes’ Aesthetics 125 sculpture, an anniversary piece of art designed to celebrate the same historical event happened 125 years ago.

Three Mercedes B-Klasse F-Cell unit will start a 125-day journey around the world with a single purpose: to cross no less than 14 countries and to pass the finish line at Stuttgart. Together with Daimler’s President, Dieter Zetsche, and the F1 drivers Schumacher and Rosberg which recently unveiled the new SLK, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel showed her support.

The fuel efficient German models will cross countries like France, USA, China, Spain, Russia but also Australia in their effort to surround the world in 125 days. This event comes to celebrate 125 years since the great achievement of the Germans but also wants to outline the importance of the technology used by the F-Cell models developed by Mercedes.
