Mercedes releases details on the new SLK 200 Radar Safety Edition, a special model dedicated to the Japanese market.
The German model stands out thanks to a special Polar White finish, new 18-inch alloy wheels, revised bumpers, side skirts and AMG brake calipers.
Power is offered by a standard 1.8-liter turbocharged engine capable to produce 184 horsepower and 270Nm of torque. At the interior, buyers will find ambient lighting, leather seats and new trim.
Several safety systems such as Brake Assist Plus, Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Distronic Plus are available as well.
“The combination of nappa leather seat of Bengal red contrast with the body color of Polar White stands out, interior and exterior has enhances the sportiness of the SLK-Class,” says the company.
Pricing for the Mercedes SLK 200 Radar Safety Edition starts at ¥6,330,000 or $65,185 in Japan.
