Mercedes officially announced that the new CLA Shooting Brake entered the production line at their plant in Hungary. Located in Kecskemét, the factory will produce the German wagon that is expected to arrive at customers starting March.
Mercedes offers a total of four engines, starting with a base 1.6-liter petrol unit producing 122 hp or 156 hp. Next up is a 2.0-liter engine with 211 horses while a 2.1-liter diesel comes in two power configurations, namely 136 hp and 177 hp.
Of course, there will also be a Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake. AMG means high-performance, that’s why the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine under the bonnet provides no less than 360 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
With such resources, the 0-100 km/h sprint is done in 4,7 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h. All the power is transferred to the four wheels via a seven-speed AMG Speedshift transmission.
The company had a special event that celebrated the production start, therefore, you can get a glimpse at their Hungarian facility.
