Mercedes presented today the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept, an 11,6-meter long boat inspired from the SLS AMG Electric Drive car.
The boat uses no less than six electric motors able to provide a total of 2251 horsepower and 3000Nm of torque.
These figures are certainly impressing making it the fastest boat powered by electric engines. With such resources, the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept hits a top speed of 160 km/h.
Charging the batteries will take about seven hours, the battery pack providing 240 kWh, yet again an impressive number compared to what we see on electric vehicles.
“The technology, performance and design of the Cigarette powerboat is closely based on the electric super sports vehicle made in Affalterbach, Germany,” adds Mercedes.
This boat concept is built by Mercedes-Benz in partnership with Cigarette Racing.
