Skoda is not the only one to preview the upcoming Kodiaq SUV by launching the Skoda VisionC Concept in first teasers, as MG has also released the first sketch with the all-new GS SUV in Europe.
According to rumors, the MG GS SUV will be unveiled at the London Motor Show, taking place this May, the model being expected to look like the Chinese GS model, which was revealed at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show.
The event would be quite special for the British-based MG carmaker, the upcoming GS SUV being expected to produce quite a stir on the SUV market. Anthony Williams-Kenny, global design director, also praised the expected model:
“The world is changing quickly in terms of what we expect from a product, so our goal is to bring the most up-to-date design trends to our own. With MG’s first SUV, we wanted to design a car that would fit in with the MG family and have a slightly different look, of confidence and dynamism, that sets it apart from the other models.”
There is not much we can depict from the teaser image, except for the SUV`s angular and sporty lines. Under the hood, chances are that the GS SUV might receive the same engines from its Chinese sibling, meaning a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit, with 250 Nm of torque, or the higher 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, with 350 Nm of torque.
