The new Mini is just around the corner, waiting to be bought at the starting price of £15,300. The current Cooper S comes equipped with 189 horsepower for its 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
Concerning the outgoing generation of a more powerful and aggressive model, the Mini John Cooper Works Concept, will be first put on a show next month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Mini John Cooper Works Concept will be featuring new and exclusive body paintwork coming in Bright Highways Grey, bespoke aerodynamic features, accents in red colors and new 18-inch John Cooper Works light-alloy wheels.
The Concept will also come with an ultra-powerful and high-performance powertrain. It is likely that the Mini John Cooper Works Concept to receive a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol turbo engine, with around 220 horsepower.
From an aerodynamically point of view, the Mini John Cooper Works Concept will enhance a standard hatch with huge air intakes, side skirts, black surround for the front grille, roof spoiler, rear apron and a diffuser element.
The car also comes equipped with new sports exhaust system, featuring the famous John Cooper Works silencer system.
