CoverEFX is a well-known company which manufactures special exterior vinyl for a variety of models. This time, the Mini John Cooper Works R53 gets two special exterior finishes from the people at CoverEFX.
To be more precise, we talk about a yellow vinyl wrap along with gloss black surroundings for the grille and headlamps but also 17-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels in the same color. The second proposal keeps the black elements but instead the yellow color it gets a light blue wrap, also known as “Smurf Blue”.
Besides the special appearance, the model gets a lowered Bilstein B14 suspension, a new sport exhaust system, and an adjustable rear stabilizer from H&R. According to the company, there are some performance upgrades too, namely a GP charge air cooler, a new sports air filter and a software kit from Mcchip-Dkr.
These improvements help the little British model to squeeze 236 horsepower from the four-cylinder turbo engine under the hood. Inside the cabin, CoverEFX provide new Recaro bucket seats but also a roll cage homologated for racing.
