The Japanese at Mitsubishi are confronting a bit of a PR problem lately and it is easy to see why it’s not going to go away for a while.
Apparently the recent public relations disaster is related to how there’s a rumor going round about Mitsubishi’s star product is dying.
I don’t know exactly how or where did the rumor about killing the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO but so far not even a shred of evidence has turned up.
The Mitsubishi fanbase is struggling, especially after they stopped funding the Ralliart division.
It’s the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO that’s keeping the company alive and well in the eyes of enthusiasts.
Therefore it’s easy to see why the world’s petrolheads are focused on this situation at Mitsubishi right now.
And what does Mitsubishi do to calm down spirits? They say that the Lancer Evo is in no problem of being discontinued on Facebook.
I get Facebook and the whole social revolution, but when there’s a serious rumor going around about an important automotive manufacturer like Mitsubishi I’d expect them to take it seriously.
Apart from answering on Facebook about it, it seems the Mitisubishi Lancer EVO’s future generation is stuck on some sort of legal matters. My advice would be that you go out and get yourself a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO while you still can.
Wow, impressive! It’s the car that I’ve always dreamt of.
