More details about the Mercedes A-Class E-Cell

As you probably read on our blog, the Germans at Mercedes revealed the zero-emission A-Class E-Cell model announced to be present at the Paris Auto Show. The Mercedes A-Class E-Cell will be manufactured in just 500 units and will the models will be the material of some tests in order to reveal the long-term benefits of the electric model.

The A-Class E-Cell model from Mercedes benefits from a 1.6-liter petrol engine assisting the 95 horsepower electric engine able to develop a torque of 290 Nm. The autonomy of the A-Class E-Cell is around 200 km while the top speed achieved is 150 km/h. Two lithium-ion batteries of 18 kWh each power the electric engine and provides a 8 hour charging time.

Mercedes claimed that the model needs just 5.5 seconds to sprint from 0 to 60 km/h while the trunk capacity offered is quite important. The German people at Mercedes announced a capacity of 453 liters for the A-Class E-Cell’s trunk.
