It seems that the Germans from Audi are not wasting the time as they just revealed the new A6 Allroad in Germany even we pass a busy period with a lot of premieres at the Detroit Auto Show.
Audi plans to offer three diesel units, namely a 3.0-liter V6 TDI developing 204, 245 and 313 horsepower but also a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline unit with 310 horses and 440 Nm of torque.
The TFSI V6 engine provides an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,9 seconds and a top speed limited at 250 km/h. Even we talk about a gasoline engine which develops more than 300 horsepower, Audi says that the combined fuel economy is rated at 8,9 liters/100 km.
“Universally talented, the new A6 allroad quattro extends the range of uses for the A6 Avant because when the asphalt ends, it just keeps on driving,” says Audi.
In terms of dimensions, the new model is 4,94 meters long, 1,90 meters wide and 1,47 meters tall. Even the German model increased in dimensions, the engineers at Audi managed to reduce the total weight by 70 kilograms.
“Performance has improved and fuel consumption has been reduced by as much as 20 percent compared with the previous model,” concludes the car manufacturer.
